Overview

The Cisco AI Fundamentals, Application & Security course is an advanced training program designed to provide a deep understanding and hands-on experience with artificial intelligence–based technologies. Developed by Cisco Networking Academy, it offers a structured perspective on how AI is transforming the professional environment, business operations, and digital security.

Over the course of three months, participants will explore the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, learn to use AI tools for analysis and automation, and understand the implications of these technologies for cybersecurity. The course blends theory with practice through interactive exercises, case studies, and analysis of AI-generated data.

Course Objectives

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

• understand key concepts of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and generative models;

• apply AI tools to everyday tasks, data analysis, and decision-making processes;

• use methods for automated text processing, translation, and visual analysis;

• transform raw data (e.g., customer reviews) into actionable insights using AI algorithms;

• identify risks and best practices related to the security and ethics of AI use.

Program Structure

The program is organized into three complementary learning areas:

Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence – basic concepts, applications, chatbots, machine translation, visual recognition, and generative AI.

AI and Cybersecurity – understanding risks, legislation, supply chain issues, and data protection in AI-driven ecosystems.

Applying AI in Data Analysis – converting feedback and unstructured text into meaningful business insights using automated analysis tools and human evaluation.

Duration and Language of Instruction

Total course duration: 3 months.
Instruction is delivered in Romanian and Russian, while the final exam is conducted in English.
English proficiency is mandatory.

Certification

Completing the program provides the preparation needed to obtain the Cisco AI international certification, confirming both theoretical knowledge and practical competence in the use of AI tools and technologies.
