Small and medium-sized enterprises and public institutions in the Cahul region can access specialised advisory services, training and technological support through EDIH of Moldova, the first European Digital Innovation Hub in the Republic of Moldova.
These opportunities were also presented at the EDIH of Moldova 2026 Conference, held on 27 October in Chișinău. The Inotek Centre attended alongside entrepreneurs and representatives of public institutions from the Cahul and Cantemir districts.
The conference brought together representatives of businesses, public institutions, universities, technology providers and business support organisations. Discussions focused on available digital solutions, the benefits of adopting new technologies and ways for companies to access support to modernise their operations.
For entrepreneurs from Cahul, the conference was an opportunity to learn more about EDIH of Moldova’s services, engage with specialists and identify opportunities relevant to the growth of their businesses.
These opportunities remain open to other businesses in the region looking to improve their workflows, use resources more efficiently and adopt technological solutions tailored to their needs.
What support can entrepreneurs receive through EDIH of Moldova?
Digitalising a company can start with relatively simple changes, such as automating repetitive tasks, organising customer information or improving inventory and sales tracking. For other businesses, it may involve integrating more complex systems, using artificial intelligence or developing new digital services.
EDIH of Moldova provides access to expertise and services that help companies identify suitable solutions based on their sector and current level of digitalisation.
Available services include:
- Digital maturity assessment – analysing how a company uses technology and identifying areas for improvement;
- Testing technologies before investing – an opportunity to assess the value of digital solutions before implementing them;
- Training and skills development – access to knowledge and expertise to support the use of digital tools and emerging technologies;
- Support in accessing funding – guidance and advice on funding opportunities for digitalisation projects;
- Networking and collaboration – facilitating connections with experts, technology providers and organisations within the innovation ecosystem.
These services can be relevant to companies across a range of sectors, including retail and trade, services, manufacturing and agriculture, whether they are just beginning their digitalisation journey or looking to build on solutions they already use.
The Inotek Centre encourages entrepreneurs and public institutions in the region to explore the available opportunities
Participation in the conference is part of the Inotek Centre’s work to support entrepreneurship and help companies in southern Moldova access expertise, technologies and opportunities for growth.
“Digitalisation does not necessarily have to start with major investments, but with an understanding of your business’s needs. Through EDIH of Moldova, entrepreneurs and public institutions can speak with specialists, identify suitable solutions and make better-informed decisions. I encourage entrepreneurs in the southern region to explore this opportunity and consider how they can use it to develop their companies and institutions,” said Nicolae Mocanu, Administrator of the Inotek Centre.
For businesses in the region, access to these services can help reduce the risks associated with investing in technology and identify tools that address specific challenges in their day-to-day operations.
Start Digital 360° – a support opportunity for SMEs
