Students from “Alexei Mateevici” Theoretical High School in Cahul, guided by teacher Valerica Zidu, won 1st and 2nd place in the Graphic Design category (gymnasium level) at the semi-final of the Tekwill Junior Ambassadors competition.

The event, recently held in Chișinău, brought together 209 students and 49 teachers. These results secured qualification for the teams from the southern region to advance to the Grand Final.

During the competition, teams from Cahul competed alongside students from the Northern region and Gagauzia.

The official results in the Graphic Design category are as follows:

  • 1st place: teacher Valerica Zidu, students — Andreea Tărăburcă, Marius-Ion Pascal;
  • 2nd place: teacher Valerica Zidu, students — Sveatoslav Petrov, Marian Radu.

The students developed visual identities for two businesses: a pastry shop and a beekeeping enterprise. Their projects focused on creating a modern image and increasing the visibility of these businesses within the community.

This achievement reflects the professional journey of teacher Valerica Zidu, who has been part of the “Tekwill in Every School” program since its launch. She has studied and taught all subjects within the program, applying an approach focused on developing practical, real-world solutions.

Through these results, the students of “Alexei Mateevici” Theoretical High School have secured their place in the Tekwill Junior Ambassadors Grand Final, where they will represent the southern region.
