Project Goal: The long-term impact of the Inotek4Cahul Project regards the inclusive economic growth in Moldova through the expansion of the digital economy, thereby elevating regional competitiveness and improving the business and investment landscape. The overall impact will manifest gradually over several years, with initial outcomes becoming apparent. Through its interventions, the Inotek – EU Innovation Centre Cahul is looking forward to providing STEM educational opportunities to every third child, who will have access to updated digital content and modern equipment. As a result of the available pool of talented individuals equipped to meet the demands of the growing technology sector, it is intended to surge the number of IT specialists. As currently an average number of 35 employees work in the field, the Project team expects to augment it at least to 55. The targeted measures in the entrepreneurship field aim at supporting an increasing number of SMEs to use the digital tools, thereby contributing to changing the mindset of entrepreneurs and making them more flexible and willing to adopt innovation in business practices. In parallel, the Project anticipates the emergence of more IT companies and startups, facilitated by an ecosystem conducive to innovation and business growth. The Centre will seek to support the aspiring entrepreneurs, driving economic dynamism within the region. A consequential outcome of these efforts is the overall increase in the availability of funds circulating within the regional economy. As local businesses flourish and attract investment, the infusion of capital into the economy catalyzes further growth and development, creating a virtuous cycle of prosperity. The culmination of these outcomes is projected to have a substantial impact on the region's socio-economic landscape. Population growth in Cahul is expected to be fueled by improved economic prospects, as individuals are drawn to the region by new opportunities and higher living standards. Moreover, the advancement of the region's development, attributed to better salaries and increased economic opportunities, promises to elevate the quality of life for residents and foster a more vibrant and resilient community.
