The 1st edition of „Cahul Business Summit” took place on May 25, 2022 in Cahul. The event brought together government officials, national experts, entrepreneurs, representatives of the private sector, as well as all those interested in the economic and digital development of the region.
Cahul Business Summit was organized as part of the EU Tech Days, by the EU4Moldova: Startup City Cahul project. The project addresses the sustainable socio-economic development of Cahul municipality and neighboring localities, which complements the regional coverage of the development assistance provided by the European Union to the Republic of Moldova. The project supports, in particular, economic development through innovation, entrepreneurship, employment for small and medium-sized enterprises outside the capital, and also offers study opportunities for young people, women and girls in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
During the discussions, the summit guests highlighted the opportunities and ways to implement information technologies in different fields of activity, in the context of accelerating regional economic development.
The 1st edition of „Cahul Business Summit” was organized by the Cahul City Hall, with the support of the EU4Moldova: Startup City Cahul project, developed by ATIC, with the financial assistance of the European Union, in partnership with Sweden.
