On May 17th, the second edition of the Cahul Business Summit took place, an event organized as part of Europe Days, aimed at raising awareness about the numerous development opportunities and attracting new investments to the southern part of the country.
The summit was a remarkable success and brought together entrepreneurs, local and national public authorities, diplomats, and specialists in agriculture and tourism. It also included opening speeches and discussion panels with local and international guests:
● Clusters – an innovative model for regional cooperation and economic development;
● Agriculture – a driving force of the region's economy;
● Cultural and tourist development potential of the southern region (Cahul);
● Investments – portfolio and development opportunities for the Cahul region.
In addition to presentations and discussions on the region's economic development, the Cahul Business Summit also featured a parallel event showcasing the cultural and tourism potential of the area – Business Expo - Discover Cahul. Several companies and institutions from the southern region participated, showcasing their products and services.
The Cahul Business Summit 2023 was financed by the European Union, in partnership with the Embassy of Sweden, USAID, UNDP Moldova, UNICEF, the Embassy of Switzerland, and the Helvetas organization, in partnership with the Cahul City Hall and ATIC, within the EU4Moldova: Startup City Cahul project, dedicated to Europe Days in Moldova.
