European Digital Innovation Hub of Moldova

Acronym: EDIH of Moldova

Purpose

Accelerating the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises, mid-cap companies and public sector organisations in the Republic of Moldova by facilitating access to expertise, advanced digital technologies, testing infrastructure, specialised skills and funding opportunities.

EDIH of Moldova is the first European Digital Innovation Hub in the Republic of Moldova and is part of the European Digital Innovation Hubs network. The hub offers beneficiaries an integrated digital transformation journey, from digital maturity assessment and needs identification to solution testing, skills development, access to technical expertise and identification of funding opportunities.

Objectives

·        developing EDIH of Moldova as a national access point for digital transformation services and the European innovation ecosystem;

·        assessing digital maturity and identifying the needs of SMEs and public sector organisations in order to direct them towards services tailored to their level of development;

·        facilitating access to “test before invest” services that allow technologies and digital solutions to be tested and validated before investments are made;

·        developing digital skills through training, practical workshops and specialisation programmes, including artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies;

·        providing technical expertise for selecting, adapting and integrating digital solutions into the processes of beneficiary organisations;

·        providing business mentoring, project development support and financial advisory services to help beneficiaries access funding and investment opportunities;

·        connecting beneficiaries with technology providers, investors, researchers, other EDIHs and European innovation infrastructures;

·        strengthening the integration of the Republic of Moldova into the European EDIH network and European digital transformation initiatives.

Consortium

EDIH of Moldova is created through a partnership between ACETI, EDIH Digital Innovation Hub of Moldova, Technical University of Moldova, COR Creative Industries Association in Moldova, Moldcell Foundation, Hygia, Startup Moldova, INOTEK Foundation and Business InnoHub. Associated partners of EDIH of Moldova are the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA), National Agency for Research and Development (ANCD), Agency for Development and Modernization of Agriculture (ADMA), Employers’ Association of Renewable Energy Producers ECOEnergetica, Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Moldova (AFAM) and MoldCluster.
