VibeHack South Moldova

Purpose

Strengthening innovation and entrepreneurial capacity in southern Moldova by supporting young people and local innovators to transform ideas into validated digital solutions and early-stage startups using artificial intelligence and no-code tools.

Objectives

·        developing the entrepreneurial and digital skills needed to transform an idea into a functional digital solution;

·        facilitating the development of minimum viable products (MVPs) through the use of artificial intelligence, vibecoding and no-code tools;

·        supporting participating teams in problem validation, solution testing and business model development;

·        connecting participants and teams from southern Moldova with the national startup ecosystem, mentors and development opportunities;

·        piloting an accessible and replicable startup creation model that reduces technical barriers for people without advanced programming skills.

Key results

·        51 participants engaged in the pre-hackathon preparation programme;

·        40 participants engaged in the VibeHack South Moldova hackathon;

·        11 MVPs developed during the hackathon, exceeding the initial target of at least 10;

·        5 teams selected for the post-hackathon mentoring programme;

·        participating teams received support in MVP development and validation, business model development, market research, testing with potential users and pitch preparation;

·        stronger connections established between participants from southern Moldova and the national startup and innovation ecosystem.
